Art Deco 1925's

Endlessly Modern

Inspired by early designs by French watchmaker HERBELIN, the Art Deco collection was created in the late 1970s. Today it welcomes a new line, Art Déco 1925’s, with an initial model exclusively designed for women. In an influx of French elegance, its stylishly structured look is a fine tribute to the French artistic movement that came into its own at the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris.

Influenced by the Art Deco vocabulary of order, colour and geometry, the stainless steel case with a polished yellow gold PVD coating (22 x 29.50 mm) presents a decidedly graphic rectangular shape. With a stepped gadrooned decoration, its geometric rigour is softened by the sapphire crystal, curved on the top and bottom, and gently rounded on the side of the case.

The polished black lacquer dial shimmers in the light, accentuating the architecture of the timepiece with a double interlaced polished gold mirror frame. Devoid of hour markers in order to emphasise the purity of the design, it presents stylised faceted hands that move discreetly below the watchmaker’s signature.

Magically integrated as an extension of the dial, the strap, which tapers to the pin buckle, sensually hugs the wrist. Aided by the glossy black of its supple lizard-print leather, it perfects the refined aesthetics of this watchmaking gem

Powered by a Swiss-made quartz movement, a true mark of quality and precision, this French-made watch is designed, assembled, adjusted by hand and inspected at the HERBELIN workshops. Combining precious materials with French watchmaking expertise passed down from father to son for three generations, it reflects the values of the watchmaker that has been located in the Jura mountains of the Franche-Comté region for over 75 years.

Specifically designed for women, this Art Déco 1925’s timepiece once again highlights the French HERBELIN brand’s interest in women’s watches. Since its origins in 1947, they have always enjoyed a special place and been constantly reinvented over time. This new model, presenting a distinguished look both day and night, is a fine example of this.
