Cap Camarat Square
Powered by an automatic movement
Launched in 2018 by the French watchmaking house HERBELIN, the Cap Camarat collection takes its name from a cape located in the south of the Saint-Tropez peninsula. Incorporating the brand's watchmaking heritage into a contemporary style, it continues to be enriched fil time until, in 2022, it offers a square-shaped watch. Attractive with its stylish design, success is guaranteed. Introduced in a quartz version, the Cap Camarat Square arrives today, equipped with a movement Automatic. Always neo-vintage in a spirit Urban, this new timepiece thus meets the expectations of fine mechanics enthusiasts, while offering versatility in wear through its aesthetic sport-chic.
THE SQUARE HOUR
Defining time within a square format with softened angles, the stainless steel case (39 mm x 39 mm) showcases a distinctly geometric robustness, enhanced by the crown guard. Adorned with a bezel featuring six decorative screws aligned with the hour markers, the ensemble is highlighted by a vertical brushed finish complemented by polished facets, culminating in the watch's sporty elegance.
Identical to its predecessor in case design, the automatic Cap Camarat Square distinguishes itself through its dial. Featuring a horizontal guilloché pattern, the black background provides perfect legibility of the information. With a distinctly 70s aesthetic inspired by the original model, the beveled hour markers and the faceted rectangular hour and minute hands are coated with luminescent material. Standing out with its white color, the central seconds hand punctuates an extremely precise minute track located on the flange.
Featuring a date window at 6 o'clock, this watch is fitted with a high-performance black FKM elastomer strap. Guaranteed for ten years due to its extremely resistant material, it was specifically designed to complement the watch's case. Enhanced at the center and cut away on the sides, its shape echoes the existing metal bracelet. Always integrated into the case to respect the watchmaking codes of the era, it reinforces the model's charisma while being very comfortable to wear due to its great flexibility.
A SWISS-MADE AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT
Water-resistant up to 100 meters, this new HERBELIN timepiece was designed, conceived, hand-assembled, adjusted, and controlled in the maison's workshops, nestled in the Jura mountains of Franche-Comté. Inheriting French watchmaking savoir-faire, passed down through generations for over 75 years, it houses a Swiss-made mechanical automatic movement, a testament to quality and reliability: the Sellita SW 200-1. Appreciated by specialists for its robustness and endurance, this caliber, beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations/hour), offers a 38-hour power reserve. Watchmaking aficionados will admire the transparent case back, allowing a view of the intricate mechanism and the HERBELIN-engraved oscillating weight.
Revisiting a model from the HERBELIN heritage of the 1970s for today's era, the Cap Camarat Square is sure to stand out, displaying a distinct and assured aesthetic with great sophistication.
