NEWPORT CHRONOGRAPH AUTOMATIC
Built for Action
The French watchmaking house HERBELIN previously celebrated the 30th anniversary of its iconic Newport collection, created in 1988, by completely redesigning its automatic chronograph. With its sleek new look inspired by the futuristic architecture of stealth ships, it debuted as a limited edition. Today, it joins the collection, adorned with a new dress code. Subtly blending black with a deep blue, it anchors its maritime spirit in the urban world. Sporty chic for all occasions, this timepiece is for city dwellers for whom every minute counts.
DNA PRESERVED
Polished and brushed to highlight its three-faceted cut, the steel case features a diameter of 43.5 millimeters. Framing a conical crown, the pushers adopt a faceted rectangular shape, reinforcing the case's geometry. Discreetly engraved "Newport" and punctuated by five screws evoking sailboat winches, the bezel, matching the case, reveals a dial that balances, in perfect harmony, numerous practical daily functions.
Adorned with a solid black background, the tapered and faceted indices are meticulously set within the minute track. The entire composition is animated by a set of rhodium-plated steel hands, partially coated with luminescent material, mirroring the imposing indices, for optimal legibility.
AUTOMATIC PILOTING
Functional for a multitude of activities, this automatic Chronograph Newport measures times up to 12 hours. Three sub-dials, positioned at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock respectively, are dedicated to displaying minutes, hours, and small seconds. The range of functionalities would not be complete without the presence of a date window. Indicated at 4:30, it remains as discreet as possible without compromising readability.
Water-resistant to 100 meters, this HERBELIN timepiece features a black leather strap stitched with blue. Domed in the center and with a deployant clasp, it perfectly completes its elegance through meticulous attention to detail.
Boasting a power reserve of 62 hours, this Newport chronograph features a Swiss-made mechanical movement with automatic winding (Sellita SW510), oscillating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and equipped with 27 jewels. Visible through a transparent case back, it reveals a HERBELIN engraved oscillating weight. Made in France as it was designed, engineered, hand-assembled, adjusted, and controlled in the HERBELIN workshops located in the Jura mountains of Franche-Comté, this new marvel highlights traditional French watchmaking expertise passed down from father to son for over 75 years.
Engineered to master every situation, it is a reliable companion for conquering the race against time. Much like Oscar-winning actor Jean Dujardin, who had the privilege of testing it in advance during the film NOVEMBRE.
