Opening of the first global flagship in Paris

⁣⁢In 2022, the French watchmaking Maison HERBELIN celebrates 75 years of heritage and passion. For this forward-looking milestone, the brand opens its first global flagship in Paris, in the heart of the iconic Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. Located at 58 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th arrondissement, this new 140 m² space, spread over two levels, blends elegance and modernity with a contemporary spirit. Reflecting the brand's new identity (Michel Herbelin becomes HERBELIN), it marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Maison's history. A beautiful anniversary gift to ambitiously project into the future.⁤⁣

A PARISIAN LOFT SPIRIT

Mythical in the capital for its heritage and its history tied to Parisian cultural and intellectual life, Saint-Germain-des-Prés was chosen for the chic and refined soul of this district envied worldwide. In keeping with the French brand's codes, it highlights a beautiful space that pays homage to the spirit of the arrondissement.

⁣⁢Custom-designed to embody the watchmaking brand's new identity, it reveals a remarkably bright space, seamlessly connecting the interior to the exterior through expansive display windows spanning 12 linear meters. Subtly evoking ship's bridges with its slender slats, the pale oak flooring highlights light-colored walls, accented by touches of exposed stone. Honoring the beauty of sandblasted and white-painted beams, the ensemble is balanced by cast iron columns. The eye is swiftly drawn to the sweeping staircase. Of Haussmannian style, it is reinterpreted with a contemporary flair, featuring steps clad in off-white resin and an openwork decorative iron balustrade. Leading to the 1st floor, it unveils a boudoir lounge for enhanced privacy and a dedicated office space.⁤⁣

A HERBELIN SIGNATURE

⁣⁢Breaking with the classique style of traditional watch stores, this first HERBELIN global flagship is akin to a Parisian loft emanating a warm and elegant atmosphere. A concept store style, expertly arranged to allow for optimal freedom of movement, it enhances, in the finest detail, the contemporary design of the watches on display.⁤⁣

⁣⁢Reflecting the maison's new visual identity, the custom-made furnishings blend natural materials—wood and brass—with the signature HERBELIN blue. Enhancing the refined aesthetic of the space, it showcases distinct zones, each dedicated to a collection from the French watchmaking house. From the Antarès watch bar to the Newport/Cap Camarat lounge, punctuated by coffee tables and comfortable armchairs, and featuring display cases shaped like bells or resembling tables, the entire experience offers an immediate perception of French excellence.⁤⁣

Reinterpreting the architecture of time in its own way, the watchmaking house invites visitors, above all, to live a HERBELIN experience. Everyone is sure to find expert advice and the watchmaking expertise associated with the quality and renown of HERBELIN watches. A new address to discover as soon as possible for an exceptional journey into the world of this great name in French watchmaking.

About the HERBELIN Maison . . .

Founded last century by Michel HERBELIN, the eponymous brand is a traditional French, family-owned, and independent watchmaking company located in Charquemont, in the Haut-Doubs region, on the Franco-Swiss border. Situated in the heart of the Haute Horlogerie manufacturing region, close to its main suppliers for absolute control over its production, it boasts its own design studio within the workshops where the watches are assembled. Beautifully crafted in a price segment ranging from 300 to 3 000 €, they are exclusively equipped with Swiss movements. In 2021, annual production reached 85,000 watches distributed across 3,000 points of sale in 50 countries.

Heir to 75 years of watchmaking savoir-faire, this Jura-based Maison develops at the pace of a family passion that has animated three generations of men since 1947. Since 2020, the direction has been led by a quartet of young talents: Maxime and Mathieu Herbelin, grandsons of the founder, and two cherished members of the "Herbelin family": Cédric Gomez-Montiel and Benjamin Theurillat.

On the occasion of its 75th anniversary celebrated in 2022, the Maison unveils a new identity embodying the ambition to radiate French elegance, refinement, and watchmaking savoir-faire more than ever before. This ambition has one name: HERBELIN. In the same year, the brand opened its first global flagship in Paris, at 58 rue Bonaparte, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
