Advice
A few simple gestures will preserve the precision and brilliance of your timepiece, ensuring its longevity and luster.
To eliminate any risk of leakage and subsequent damage to the movement, entrust this operation to an Official HERBELIN Agent.
Certain chemical agents can damage or discolor your watch.
Our watches feature an engraving on the case back, indicating their water resistance level. The label "WATER RESISTANT TESTED" affixed to the back certifies that the watch has undergone rigorous water resistance tests and controls.
Caution: to remain effective, water resistance needs to be checked at least once every 2 years and in any case every time the battery of your quartz watch is replaced. Diving requires a minimum check at 10 ATM.
A watch equipped with an automatic movement operates with the motion of your arm. If the watch has stopped, remove it from your wrist and turn the crown clockwise approximately 30 times, or until the second hand begins to move.
A watch equipped with a quartz movement operates with a battery that has a lifespan of several years. If your watch has stopped, replace the battery as soon as possible. A depleted battery can damage the watch's mechanism if not replaced promptly.
Have your battery replaced by a professional, an official Herbelin retailer.
– Do not operate the winding stem when the watch is wet.
– After immersion in the sea or pool, rinse your watch with fresh water.
– Avoid sudden changes in temperature and humidity levels (e.g., saunas).
– Avoid severe shocks.
It is recommended to have your watch serviced by a professional every 2 to 3 years.
Depending on your watch model, the crown features 2 or 3 positions: Normal / Intermediate: 1st click (date correction) / Fully pulled: 2nd click (time correction).
SCREW-DOWN CROWN: To ensure perfect water resistance, certain Herbelin watches are equipped with a screw-down crown. Your watch is only waterproof when the crown is fully screwed down against the case.
The warranty for your Herbelin watch begins from the date of purchase and covers any manufacturing defects or hidden flaws under normal usage conditions.
Its duration is 3 years for mechanical and automatic watches, and 2 years for quartz watches (it can be extended to 5 years depending on the purchase date).
To validate your warranty, a completed warranty card is required.
Your warranty covers parts and labor.
Your Warranty Limitations
Certain interventions and damages are not covered by the warranty.
It is offered for the original equipment of your watch. It is excluded from the warranty.
Its duration depends on the watch's usage and the care taken in its maintenance. It cannot be guaranteed.
Damage to the crystal, case, or any external part caused by accidental shocks or drops, as well as exposure to chemical or corrosive products, are excluded from the warranty. Furthermore, damage resulting from incorrect servicing or improper handling will not be covered.
or contact with water for a non-water-resistant watch cannot be guaranteed. Likewise, any water-resistant watch that has been opened must undergo a water-resistance check to benefit from the warranty.
