Certain chemical agents can damage or discolor your watch.
Our watches feature an engraving on the case back, indicating their water resistance level. The label "WATER RESISTANT TESTED" affixed to the back certifies that the watch has undergone rigorous water resistance tests and controls.
Caution: to remain effective, water resistance needs to be checked at least once every 2 years and in any case every time the battery of your quartz watch is replaced. Diving requires a minimum check at 10 ATM.
A watch equipped with an automatic movement operates with the motion of your arm. If the watch has stopped, remove it from your wrist and turn the crown clockwise approximately 30 times, or until the second hand begins to move.
A watch equipped with a quartz movement operates with a battery that has a lifespan of several years. If your watch has stopped, replace the battery as soon as possible. A depleted battery can damage the watch's mechanism if not replaced promptly.

SCREW-DOWN CROWN: To ensure perfect water resistance, certain Herbelin watches are equipped with a screw-down crown. Your watch is only waterproof when the crown is fully screwed down against the case.
The warranty for your Herbelin watch begins from the date of purchase and covers any manufacturing defects or hidden flaws under normal usage conditions.
Its duration is 3 years for mechanical and automatic watches, and 2 years for quartz watches (it can be extended to 5 years depending on the purchase date).
To validate your warranty, a completed warranty card is required.

Your Warranty Limitations
Certain interventions and damages are not covered by the warranty.

Damage to the crystal, case, or any external part caused by accidental shocks or drops, as well as exposure to chemical or corrosive products, are excluded from the warranty. Furthermore, damage resulting from incorrect servicing or improper handling will not be covered.
